Yoni Malchi
CEO & FOUNDER
A former aerospace engineer with a passion for tennis, Yoni Malchi is CEO of The Fifth Set, a tennis-apparel company that provides patented “SweatRoute” technology to keep tennis enthusiasts dry, comfortable, and at the top of their game. Since co-founding the company with his wife Danielle in March of 2020, he is responsible for driving the product’s research and development from concept to market, while furthering The Fifth Set’s strategic direction to achieve overall business goals.
When he’s not on the court, Yoni is a management consultant with a passion for driving Fortune 500 enterprises to become more data-driven and analytics-focused. After earning a B.S and Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from Union College and Penn State University, respectively, he started his career at The Aerospace Corporation, where he served as a Combustion Specialist for The United States Air Force and NASA, performing predictive analytics on rocket-propulsion systems.
Outside the office and off the tennis courts, Yoni spends his time binge-watching Netflix with his wife Danielle (company co-founder and COO), teaching math, science, and tennis to his twin daughters, Julia and Anna, and enjoying various local cuisine throughout his travels. He lives in Parkland, Florida.
Danielle Malchi
COO & CO-FOUNDER
Danielle Malchi is Chief Operating Officer for The Fifth Set, a tennis-apparel company that provides patent-pending “SweatRoute” technology to keep tennis enthusiasts dry, comfortable, and at the top of their game. Co-founding the company with her husband in March of 2020, she is responsible for developing, executing, and monitoring the overall marketing and sales strategy.
With a successful career spanning more than a decade, Danielle has held various marketing and sales roles, honing her craft and positioning herself as a thought leader in the beverage industry. Earlier in her career, Danielle worked for over 10 years at Sidney Frank Importing Company (SFIC), which, at the time, was the exclusive importer of Jägermeister in the United States and the creators of Grey Goose Vodka. As the marketing brand manager for their popular Corazón Tequila and Gekkeikan Sake brands, she played a major role in building the company’s marketing plans from the ground up, traveling the country to educate sales staff and consumers. Subsequently, she accepted a unique opportunity to move to Southern California to take on a regional sales-lead role for SFIC’s full portfolio of brands.
Most recently, she served as a marketing consultant for The Salt Box, a premier salt-therapy wellness spa based in South Florida, where she grew revenue by 55% in her first year and spearheaded community-wide events to drive brand awareness.
For the prior seven years, Danielle has put her career on pause while being a stay-at-home mom to her energetic twin daughters. However, her passion for marketing, branding, and analyzing consumer trends, combined with her entrepreneurial spirit, inspired her to return to what she loves. Now working beside Yoni, she can leverage her expertise to round out The Fifth Set’s leadership team, finally striking the work-life balance she had been seeking.
A licensed Realtor in Florida, Danielle holds a B.S. in psychology from Union College in upstate New York. She is an avid fitness enthusiast and enjoys daily Peloton work-outs, the Florida sunshine, and being outdoors as much as possible. Danielle lives in Parkland, Florida, with her husband and co-founder, Yoni, and twin daughters, Anna and Julia.
